Für den nunmehr zehnten Band der Buchreihe Drama Panorama – Neue internationale Theatertexte, eine Initiative von Drama Panorama – Forum für Übersetzung und Theater e. V. und dem Neofelis Verlag, werden aktuelle deutschsprachige und internationale Stücke gesucht, die sich mit dem Thema Zukunft auseinandersetzen.
Zukunft ist eine Erzählung, und erzählen werden wir
In einer Zeit, in der Kipppunkte, autoritäre Regime, Kulturkampf von rechts und menschenfeindliche Technologien schon jetzt dramatische Folgen für Milliarden Menschen haben, braucht es visionäre Alternativen für Verteilungskampf, Backlash und Zensur.
Gesucht wird zeitgenössische Dramatik, die uns auf drohende Katastrophen einstimmt und sozialutopische Experimente wagt, die Psychologie von Heilsversprechen auslotet und Defätismus dekonstruiert: Narrative für eine nahe Zukunft, die sich aus aktuellen Herausforderungen speisen. Willkommen sind Einsendungen aus allen Kulturräumen sowie alle dramatischen Formen, Genres, Theatersprachen, Utopien, Dystopien und Exit-Strategien für die gegenwärtige Sprachlosigkeit.
Texte können (mit kurzer Bio, Inhaltsangabe und Entstehungsjahr) bis zum 1. Mai 2026 an lisa.wegener@drama-panorama.com geschickt werden.
The Anthology Narratives for The Future
For the by now tenth volume in the book series Drama Panorama – New International Plays, an initiative by Drama Panorama – Forum for Translation and Theatre e. V. and the publisher Neofelis, we are looking for new international plays that deal with the theme of the future.
The future is a story, and we will tell it
In a time when tipping points, authoritarian regimes, culture wars from the right and inhumane technologies are already having dramatic consequences for billions of people, visionary alternatives to distributional conflicts, backlash and censorship are urgently needed.
We are looking for relatively recent dramas that prepare us for impending catastrophes and courageously try out utopian social experiments, that explore the psychology of promises of salvation and deconstruct defeatism: stories for the future that are fueled by current challenges. Submissions are welcome from all cultural regions as well as all dramatic forms, genres, theatre languages, utopias, dystopias and exit strategies for our current state of being lost for words.
