Her play &#8220;<span style=\"font-size: 10pt;\">Caryca Katarzyn&#8221; (<\/span>Tsarina Catarina) is nominated for the most highly esteemed playwrights award in Poland. When her play &#8220;<span style=\"font-size: 10pt;\">Joanny Szalonej; Kr\u00f3lowej&#8221;<\/span> (Joan the Mad, Queen) will be presented at the MIME CENTRUM&#8217;s &#8220;Theatersalon&#8221;, it will be the first time that one of her plays is introduced in German translation.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Andreas Volk is a translator of contemporary Polish literature, including more than twenty plays. He was part of the team Literatur polska2000 in Krakow, held a scholarship of Villa Decius, and coordinated the &#8220;literary studies&#8221; project at Collegium Polonicum in S\u0142ubice in 2009-2011. He is an editor of the German-Polish-Ukrainian &#8220;radar&#8221; literary magazine, which is published in Krakow; in addition, he is a co-founder of the German-Polish translation almanac \u201eOder\u00dcbersetzen\u201c.
