Forum for Translation and Theater
A project for translators, playwrights, theater professionals and academics from all over the world
A place to meet, to learn from each other, to work together on play translations, and to introduce new plays
A platform for discussion, inspiration, discovery and creative discourse
Drama Panorama is an open forum for German and International translators of dramatic literature. We seek to nurture and develop the art of translation as an interactive process, to explore new ways and approaches to translation, and to build a network consisting of translators, playwrights, and theater professionals (directors, dramaturges, actors).
Various events will give translators the opportunity to participate in project workshops, to discuss different topics, questions and challenges with a Panorama – Café Guest Host, to exchange opinions and ideas with a panel of invited guests, and to hear newly translated plays at one of our evening events.
